Job description :

As a propulsion systems engineer, you will design, optimize and develop propulsion systems housing, structures, and control systems. You will communicate with multiple teams to do your parts development, testing, and certification process; and explore new technical implementation options. 

Core responsibilities :

    • Project planning and management
    • Design assigned parts and explore innovative advancement methods
    • Perform analysis of the assigned part on the timeline
    • Design, develop and test propulsion systems housing structures
    • The manager assigned module-wise PLM data
    • Guide teams and communicate with project stakeholders
    • Prototype construction, testing, validation, and certification
    • Design and validate manufacturing methods
    • Technical and financial forecasting of the project

Qualifications/Requirements :

    • Mechanical Engineering -
(Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR  
Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience OR
    • Advanced understanding of turbomachinery
    • Advanced understanding of propulsion systems behaviors
    • Advanced understanding of mechanical control systems
    • Advanced undo of electro-mechanical power management systems
    • Understanding of system performance analysis
    • Understanding of thermodynamics
    • Understanding of structural inspection methods
    • Understanding of emergency systems
    • Understanding of system failure safeguarding and management
    • System dynamics and behaviors
    • Module and parts-specific PLM data management
    • Sub-system integration
    • System testing and validation process
    • US Citizenship

Desired Characteristics :

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • High proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and SAP
    • Excellent problem-solving skill-set
    • Customer requirement-focused development and project planning
    • Higher understanding of CAE simulation solvers
    • MDAO automation process management
